And here we are another day closer to Worldcon. I'm already seeing reports of many people who are on their way to Boston like brain-hungry zombies to a Mensa meeting. On one hadn I wish I could be getting in that early start--attend the pre-con parties, and all that. But on the other, I'm going to miss Pretty Maggie fiercely until she comes to pick me up on Monday. And this trip is practically sponsored by the work I do for BearManor Media, so I've been trying to get as much of that work done as possible.

The programming this year looks absolutely immense. I have a feeling that the attendance is going to be pretty high as well--much higher than Torcon. And because there won't be any pecky customs issues, the art show and dealers room are going to be beyond immense.

Sad news. Massachusetts-based fan George Flynn has passed away. I didn't know him well, but I knew him well enough to look forward to seeing him at Boston conventions. He and Hal Clement will be greatly missed. A healing thoughts go out to Shelby vick who recently got into a pretty serious car accident. When I announced my intention to start my own fanzine, he was the first to step up with words of encouragement and fanart.

Today's link goes to punkvoter.org, your one-stop spot for hundreds of reasons not to vote for King George the Bush. Good music sources too, and don't forget to look into purchasing Rock Against Bush Vols. 1 and 2.

Cheers!
