Link o' the Day: Washington County Fair

A quick entry today as it's very busy at the ole office.

Tonight is session night, and I'm hoping to have down, relatively well, a tune called "The Hunter's Purse" in time to try out. There's no guarantee I'll get to play it, although it's been popular lately--especially in pairing it up with "The Banshee" which is a fun little tune.

Going to try to get home a little early so I can put some finishing touches on the Bulletin and fix the cover spreads. Then I have to reorient one of the encyclopedia volumes to a smaller type-size. This is going to be one massive project.

The banks of River Teehan have subsided as our two-week ravaging humidity has settled into a nice coolness. This weekend we're going to head to the Washington County Fair for food, fun, food, music, food, crafts, food, farm exhibits, food, and maybe some fabulous strawberry shortcake to top it all off. I think this year we'll pace ourselves better and not arrive too early.

Should be a lot of fun, tho.

And I have two prime seats reserved for me at the Lewis Black concert in Newport this Friday! I love this guy--although I've always had a certain fondness for angry comedians who carry the schtick of pointing out everyday stupidities. (George Carlin, Dennis Leary, David Cross, etc.)

The trick will be getting there and back.

Today's link goes to the info site for the Washington County Fair.

Enjoy!
