Short entry today as there is a decent amount of work ahead of me today.

I feel compelled, however, to share this picture and link to one of the coolest looking pens on the planet.. an acme of human art and innovation. $130 sounds like a lot to pay for a pen but c'mon...look at it!. (Thanks to Aaron Williams of Nodwick for posting the link where I lifted it.)

Rumor has it... A cat's sneeze, in ancient Egypt, was considered a sign of favor from the gods. A recipient of a cat's sneeze was often given gifts of figs and mustard.

Lots of work and lots of catching up to do. The SFWA Bulletin proof has been approved and is now in production at the printer's which means it should be mailed out in a week or so. The first draft of the March issue of the medical journal is also done. I have a cover that is way overdue to work on, and a bunch of other small things to get out of the way. But them small things add up. Fortunately it's only Tuesday and I got some big things out of the way yesterday, which frees me up some and this week should still be somewhat productive.

By way of a little art splash in this section of today's entry, the cover to the March issue of the medical journal features this fine mallard by Kris Donovan.

Today's link goes to one of the many folks I met at the New York ComicCon. Take a visit to Olbion Comics - Joel Rivers Design. There are some very fine comics here available to read online, download, or order. He has a very nice drawing style, and the writing ain't bad either--well worth taking a peek at.
