This weekend was another baby-round for us. Other people's babies, that is. A friend's 4-month-old was baptized, and that afternoon my brother and his wife visited with their own 4-month-old.

So family also came to visit - my aunt and cousin. Besides visiting my niece, they also came bearing baby gifts for us! We were quite surprised and pleased. We received some adorable socks (themed socks- anyone who knows me well knows I love patterned socks), a busy-book (soft with things inside), a couple bibs (I love my mommy and daddy), and a sweet little Precious Moments doll that says a goodnight prayer when you squeeze him.

The little doll was a boy. My aunt said she wasn't sure about it, but since we were more positive of receiving a boy, she tempted fate and bought it. For some reason, my relatives were offended when I said matter-of-factly, "well, if we have a girl we can say this is the first boy she'll ever sleep with!" I thought I was rather clever. Doug was laughing heartily. I was scolded by my mother!
