My parents were visiting this weekend. We got a lot done! They took us out shopping, and eventually a crib, mattress, and stroller were purchased. We are pleased with everything, but probably the stroller the most!

It has everything the urban child needs in the auto capital of the world: it's a Jeep brand, has a CD player hookup and speakers, plus steering wheel, horn to honk, and various other buttons to please the hands-on child. Doug calls it our "Urban Assault Vehicle."

We compromised on the crib. Doug liked a particular style; I wanted a white one. I was leaning toward another style; Doug wanted a medium-wood finish. So we got the crib Doug liked, in white. We're both happy.

THEN we decided, with the help of both my parents, what colors to do the nursery. Settled on creamy yellow for the walls, with a faded green for the space between the crown molding & ceiling. Again, we compromised; I wanted all creamy yellow, Doug wanted to paint various colors. So now we're both happy!

LAST but not least, as my Mom and I went out shopping quickly this afternoon, Dad and Doug pulled the shower doors off the tub and Dad spent his time scraping the old calk off the walls and tub. New shower curtain later, and we're both thrilled with another "job" crossed off our list!

We feel like we're rolling along once again. I couldn't find a picture of the crib online, but there are pictures of the paint scheme and Jeep stroller at our new website. You can either click on "our website" at the top of this page, or click here now to go see those directly. Not too many links work; my powow.com account vanished a couple weeks ago, so we had to set a new one up. There's some minor issues with my quick design IMO, but you get the gist!

Starting to think about registering, so we can add little bits at a time. So much to think about!
