It is over.
At approximately 1500 hours today, at a Federal Express drop box located at 110 West Michigan in Lansing, Michigan - we sent our paperwork in.
In the shadow of the Capitol Building, on a breezy and 29-degree afternoon, we sealed 2 boxes (one with a check for a semi-big number; but I suppose it's peanuts to what is coming...) addressed to Frank Adoption Center, with 33 documents in each box....
Doug laid the boxes on the tilted door, and we ceremoniously both pushed the door closed with a CLANG.
Then, grinning and giggling like schoolkids, we walked back to the car. And realized that we were going to be a Mom and Dad. For real.
