So Doug, being the male of the household, had a special sheet he had to fill out for the Russian government. One part of this form queried, "Do YOU have any specialized skills or training, including firearms, explosives, nuclear, biological, or chemical experience? If yes, please explain." Doug has a degree in chemical engineering, although he's in automotive now. We thought we better check on how to answer that question.

Liz told us to mark that he has a degree in chemical engineering, and then add "no practical/professional experience." She said he will probably be looked at a little closer; but no other worries.

I found it kind of funny... until my History Major brain clicked in and I realized - that's not really so amusing. In the "world stage" point of view.

A trivia nugget for you: Ekaterinburg's best-known son is none other than Boris Yeltsin!
