If I were a Democrat... which sometimes I am... I would have voted for Dean. I just think he's funny. He reminds me of what I think Johnson was like. If that makes sense. A no-nonsense sonofawhowho who tells it like it is, even if he's wrong. I like that. Better than the bluster we get now, from any candidate in any party. I'd like to think that's how I'd speak if I were running for president. Of course, he wants to pull out of Iraq completely which is a mistake - whether you agree we should be there or not, we need to finish the job we've started. If we pull out we create a political vacuum in an unstable country, and that's just not smart. I don't care what "party" you belong to, that's the way of the world.

A way long time ago, when I saw that Kerry was running as a Dem. hopeful, I remarked to Doug that he seemed to pop up on my radar a lot in my life. Watching tv, reading articles... there was Kerry. Now he has upset the caucus in Iowa and come in 1st, with some guy I've never heard of 2nd, and Dean 3rd. Fascinating.

But of course, it is Iowa. Come on, now.
