We attempted a bath again tonight, and it was finally a hit! Well, we didn't have much screaming. Roman grimaced and grumped a little bit when we first put him in the inflatable tub (no water), but after sprinkling him off we played with our Penguins for awhile.

Then Doug got the idea that while we were playing Penguins, he could fill the tub up with water and Roman wouldn't notice. Well wouldn't you know, he liked it! He was almost splashing the penguins and was fascinated that they were floating. Even when we finally tilted him back to rinse his hair, he didn't make a peep - just withstood it so he could play penguins again.

After he was done, I wrapped him in a big fluffy towel and he gave Doug a huge grin. So we are very pleased with ourselves.

Roman also discovered a new sound yesterday - "ga". For awhile it was the occasional "ba" and the often-spoken "mamamamama". At dinner he talked a long time - "ga ga ga ga gee gee gee gee guh guh guh ga ga ga." Then he would give us a big smile and giggle. I suspect he's laying diabolical plans to take over the world, but it IS cute.
