Roman says two or three things clearly - but we can't figure out what he means by it. One sounds like "becky" or "bahcky", one sounds like "poppy" or sometimes "puppy." I forget the other one. Anyhoo, this morning he made it obvious what he was saying - "poppy" is PUPPET. He picked up the fox puppet, held it out to us, and said, "POPPY" with a quite serious look on his face. Like, "I'm sick of you guys not understanding me on this!" It was hilarious! They have puppets at daycare too, so I think that's where he made the connection. We thought he was saying "baba" too, but it was actually "bubbles."

Which brings me to this evening's excitement... Roman had his first bubble bath! He was a bit nervous at first; he sat in his seat, but wouldn't touch the water until I brought a toy up out of it. Then he loved it! He kept grinning up at me and saying "bubbles!" We also introduced a large cup for rinsing the hair, as he has developed a fear of the sprayer. He loved that too, dumping it onto himself.

Of course, we used Mama's bubble bath - so he smells of a mix of Zest, baby shampoo, and "Summer Hill" by Crabtree & Evelyn.
