Working on: Finished prepping for school. Ever have it where all the sudden, LARGE events start to loom over you, and what you thought you were prepared for you are NOT? End of semester (grades). 8th grade trip that I'm not involved with... but all the sudden I am. Swim season is hurtling toward me....
---------------------------------

Today I went to a breakfast hosted by a Mommy on the online forum I joined for my city. There were supposed to be 4 to 5 women there with their kids. There were TEN. I was disappointed because I had hoped I could talk with a small group, but I did get in conversation with 3 or 4 of them near me. A couple have kids close to Roman's age so that's neat. Overall it was a good experience, and I'd get together with them again. They seem to be a strong support for each other, some of them knowing each other very well. At least I can get good information - I already talked with someone who left our doctor's office for some of the same reasons we are frustrated with them, and gave me a tip on a new place.

Also, a funny. There is a larger-than-life caretaker at daycare named Ms. Debra. She just oozes warmth but is also very loud and vivacious. She calls Roman "Ro-Ro." The kids have begun to pick up on it. Now at home, we ask Roman where "Roman" is - he just gives us a blank stare. He then points to himself and says "Ro-Ro!" Gives us the giggles. Even better though - he learned the song "Row, Row, Row Your Boat." Now he sings it... but just repeats "row" over and over like this: "Row, row, row, row, row.... boat." We honestly think he is singing about himself!
