Working on: Getting a second beer.
---------------------------------

So usually we go in the back door at church to drop Roman off in the nursery first, then make our way to the sanctuary. But the door was locked, so we went in the front door. As soon as we entered the door - "Hi Roman!" "Hi Roman!" "Hey Roman!" Even one lady said, "Hi Roman! - oh, and parents too." He's a celebrity, I'm thinking.

So Doug takes him into the nursery and about 5 or 6 kids were there, plus the caretaker. He said it was like Norm walking into Cheers - "ROMAN!" The caretaker even reported her daughter wasn't going to come today until she remembered Roman might be there. Not to brag, but... isn't our little one the greatest?!

In home improvement news, Doug made it rain in the basement yesterday. He thought it would be a good idea to snake the bathroom sink. Well, we didn't realize we have brass pipes under the sink. He's shoving the snake in and attempting to twist it, and blew it right through the bottom of the trap (it had rusted). Next think I know, Roman and I are playing in the basement when it starts drip... drip... piddle... piddle... RAIN... POURING.... I'm yelling at Doug to stop doing whatever he's doing, Roman starts crying because I'm yelling so loud, and the loveseat is getting SOAKED! Even today Roman kept pointing to the ceiling where it rained and mumbling something. :)

Lastly, Doug removed a "step" from the back floor of the closet in our bedroom so I could fit a shoe rack that I bought. Turns out the builders decided that wood flooring didn't need to go all the way to the wall - there's a good 3-4 inch gap where the hardwood ends and the wall starts. Duh. So once again, a small project turns into a medium-sized woodworking project. Grrr. He cut a piece of wood to fit the spot, and it was decided not to remove anymore "steps" from the closets.
