Working on: Last entry, I promise!
---------------------------------
I finished Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince (book 6) last night. Well, we both did, as we were reading it to each other. I began crying round about chapter 24 or so, with the line:

"He thought about his mum and dad. He thought about Sirius. And he thought about Cedric Diggory."

Cedric's death (book 4) was such a blow to me, it brings tears just thinking about it. And of course, I had to read that line and just blubbered all over. Well, imagine my trying to read the chapter that involved the death! Good gracious, I could barely get the words out. Luckily, Doug read the chapter which contained the funeral, so I could silent-cry all I needed.

The ending has made Doug disappointed and upset - he believes this death is a pointless one. I say that it was expected, and Harry is going to have to find his own strength now to carry on. Harumph. And JK Rowling hasn't even started seriously writing the last book. What a horrible wait this will be!
