Working on: Early bedtime!
---------------------------------
There's the coolest show on right now on Travel Channel called "Secrets of the Smithsonian." Seemingly innocent items and the history behind it; right now, a postcard that came over on the Hindenburg. Cool.

Anyway, we went to daycare's Halloween party tonight. Crafts in every room, from pumpkin-coloring to dipping apples in taffy. Roman liked Miss Katie's room best (of course, it's where he wants to be!). You could color a ghost and then peel the back off, and it became a big sticker. We also played in Miss Connie's room (the 3-4 years) but he did not like the pumpkin guts they were carving out. Funny.

He wore our homemade "choo-choo engineer" costume of blue and white stripe overalls, red kerchief around the neck, and black conductor's hat. He loved it, even kept the hat on most the time. Took pictures but haven't uploaded them yet.

Big plans this weekend - not sure if all will happen or in what order. We'd like to get to the country-western clothing store (Halloween accessories for myself), a pumpkin patch / cider mill, marching band competition in Canton, my parents' piano is being delivered, and meet Capt. Onion Jack in Lansing for a loan of a toddler bed for Roman. Oh, don't forget church... and a couple of LONG naps for a sweet little boy.
