They called school early today, dismissed about an hour early due to weather. I have been unmotivated ever since. If I'm already "checked out" you can imagine that the kids don't want to do any work.

We got about 5-6 inches since 8am this morning. Temp was a perfect 31, 32 so there was no ice on the roads... yet. Hoping plows and salters can get out tonight. Don't want to use up all our snow days in December!

Roman is adjusting to his first week in the 2's room. He has woken up the past two mornings about 5:30am calling for us, ready to play - reminds me unpleasantly of those first couple weeks home from Russia. He is exhausted, however. We put him down around 7:30pm and he falls straight to sleep. Today he had a meltdown when we turned off "Toy Story" to go have dinner. "I want Buzz!" so melodramatically that we almost couldn't understand him. Flipped out about who was putting him to bed, too - he wanted me, but Daddy to sing, but me to stay in the room... then fell apart when we left the room, screaming and crying. Definitely overtired.

Snow pants and boots delivered to daycare today, they're hoping to take the kids out into the snow tomorrow. This weekend Roman and I are going to make fudge. Mmm. And maybe see Santa!
