Plans were laid earlier in the week to have Mrs. K and her son Jack over for dinner, with the possibility of her partner, Dave, coming too. I was slightly dreading it because Roman and Jack are notorious for not getting along, with every playdate devolving into pushing and crying.

Tonight, however, was the exception. We enjoyed an excellent meal (if I do say so myself) of pork tenderloin, corn, baked potato, and fresh vegetables. The boys actually played together - for the first time ever, they actually interacted pleasantly. I chalk this up to Jack going to daycare a couple times a week and Roman learning how to share better. There was a slight issue over the Dora the Explorer doll (they both wanted it!) but otherwise, fun. Doug hit it off with Dave, and aside from Roman going to bed at 9:30 (2 hours later than usual) it was really fun.

My vacation is almost over. I was productive on the personal side, getting lots of scrapping done and even dabbling in digital scrapbooking. Laundry is done. Dinner was on the table every night. I guess that's what's important. I did get most of my school stuff done, too - nothing left that I can't attempt to cram into Sunday afternoon.
