Well, 2 quarters down and I haven't won any money off my squares. Although I have a shot if the Seahawks could magically get 2 points by the end of the 3rd quarter.

SuperBowl fever continued through the week, almost possessing me to go downtown Detroit with the boy myself just to see it. The most common comment from locals is "it's so clean!" The lack of trash is most evident, followed by nice-looking sidewalks and buildings. One person said it actually reminded her of DisneyWorld, it was so clean.

Out-of-towners have said the city is nice and the people even nicer, which I definitely could have predicted. We Metro-ers are just so excited to be recognized for something good, we're thrilled to help people out. Plus, we're mid-Westerners. Of course we're friendly.

The Motown Winter Blast had to create its own snow until yesterday, when we got a perfect coating of about 1.5 inches. Apparently Thursday night the crowds arrived and it was just crazy Friday and Saturday.

The boy did not want to watch football today, but playing it was a different matter. He and Daddy played football for part of the first quarter and Roman was thrilled. I'll post a link to pictures in a little while once I get them up and fixed.
