Roman was absolutely thrilled to have his teacher, Miss Katie, babysit him tonight. When she came downstairs to where we were playing trains, he immediately started showing her all his trains. And Mr. Potatohead. And his food. And his cash register, and... and... and...

So we went off and had a good time. Dinner at TGI Friday's with lots of good conversation with Mark and Jen. Then we went off to the RV/Camper Show in Novi for 1.5 hours. Saw a "hybrid" (hard sides, popout beds) that we really liked, so if anyone would like to give us $18,000 so we can get a brand new one, I'll give you our address.

Got back home about 9:15 and had a good talk with Miss Katie. Roman, apparently, spent the entire time showing Miss Katie everything in the house. Everything. "My Daddy hung that there." "I have a pig." I have this... I have that... we have that... She said it took almost 40 minutes to eat pizza because he kept talking and telling her everything.

He walked her through bedtime, too. "Now we read a book." "Now Mama and I pray." The best part, she said, was when she tucked him into bed and he looked at her and said, "I go to sleep now." She said okay and left, and not another peep was heard. Even she thought it was weird.

So we talked with her and got to know her a little better, and she did offer (because she lives so close) that she could be available for emergencies. Hooray!
