Minimal Meal Preparations

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now. Not with all the other things I have to do.

The graduation last Saturday went well. Except for the part where I fell asleep while all the students from my college were called. And the lack of interesting people from other departments to meet, considering this is the only event other than the Faculty Christmas Party, Faculty Summer Outing and Faculty Lenten and Advent Retreats that I get to look for them. On the other hand, the food was great, despite the horror stories of student chefs and servers fouling up.

Today all I did in my three classes was give them a recitation/review in preparation for the exam on Wednesday. It's a whole hour not having to provide new content, besides, it's shameful for them to fail the test now.

I originally decided for the test to be on a Monday so I won't be coming from the weekend to a full workload. I also thought it gave the students the entire weekend to study. But they requested the Wednesday schedule themselves, so it won't coincide with an exam in another subject.

It works just as good for me; the recitation is still almost no preparation, on my part, at least.

Then on Friday we're not going to meet because of the stargazing sessions lined up. And I'm using the three periods next week for filmshowing.

Tonight's stargazing, by the way, was cancelled because of heavy stormclouds that only produced a drizzle since noon, plus there was no wind to speak of to blow them away.
