Some Emerging Patterns In Teaching for the Past Year

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

No entries in either journal last Saturday because of the weather disturbance.

And if there's no post today in the student version, it's because the site has been down since early this morning when I first tried it.

This, by the way, is the start of the last week before the classes begin for the first term of school year 2006 to 2007.

Tomorrow is our Institutional Assembly, and on Wednesday is the Freshman Orientation, for which the new Student Council and several of the volunteers are supposed to meet to finalize starting from today.

I have yet to finish my skimming account of the eco camp in the student version, and to talk about that and the leadership camp in more detail.

In the realm of my tentative subjects to teach for next term, first of all there's Mathematical Methods One, which is standard for the first term. In fact, for the past four years, there has not been one school year that I have not taught this subject.

Then there are the introduction to electricity and magnetism lecture and laboratory classes, for the incoming sophomore engineering students. This, in fact, will be the fourth term in a row that they will be my students, starting from MM1 this time last year, then Graphics Two: Manual Drafting the term after that, then Introduction to Robotics in the most recent term. But it will be the first time in a year that I'll be handling them in a strict lecture class.

What's new that I haven't taught before that I am assigned for the new term is Computer Aided Design again for second year engineering students, which means that for a lot of them, just like last term (because of the general science requirement mechanics lab I handled), they are my students in more than one class once more, and this one, just like the classes I handled for them in the past two terms, is again not a strict lecture class.

Session 1116 is not my student this new term. Class dismissed.
