Behind the Faculty Room Door Scenes

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Just a few comments not intended for the eyes and ears of the students about some of the things I talked about in the general patronage version.

For one thing, in our discussion in the faculty meeting about campus sports programs, the Executive Vice President talked about some teams or clubs being elitist, and being selective about what groups to support at present, because of financial considerations.

Several martial arts enthusiasts may want to make history in being the pioneer founders of such and such a discipline in the school, but if there are other groups that will be joined by more students, the EVP said that those will be given the priority.

Besides, there is already a record of organizers not having the drive or responsibility to maintain a club with some of the formerly accredited groups becoming inactive and losing recognition.

The EVP also talked about one group, the soccer players, being made up of mostly students who are in one peer group with some foreigners included who ended up having a major argument that split the people and their practices and games fell through.

If the membership were a bit more diverse, this would not have happened.

As for the engineering software trainings that I mentioned, it wasn't as good as we thought, since we teachers, having had to sit through hours of students' presentations, know when a reporter is just stalling and avoiding questions they don't know the answers to.

That's how the in-house trainings were. Maybe after we learn the software we can ask them to pay us to teach the software to their other clients, otherwise, they would lose them quick.

And there's another training scheduled for their head office in the second week of July. I, personally, am not looking forward to that, especially if it will be handled by the same inept people.

I have some more asides about other things I talked about in the other journal, but they will have to wait until next time.

Session 1183 can't train well. Class dismissed.
