On the Home Stretch of This Trimester

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Just a short update about a certain student: his group was not able to present their most recent robot project, still testing it out even though they arrived at the venue later than any of the other groups, which is more of a shame considering the Executive Vice President was there watching.

I asked each member of the group that I have seen so far (not including him) to give me a written report of why they were not able to finish on time. I'm already giving them a flat grade of zero for that project, but I'm hinting I might only fail the one who really is to blame for what happened.

I just want written confirmation from the students themselves that this student was taking care of his requirements in another subject during class time using the computer they were assigned for programming their robot.

I'm also waiting for him to ask me for reconsideration on that project, then I'll slam that behavior in his face, which he can't deny.

In other news, in the Computer Circuit Fundamentals class, I will be giving them a sample program of our last and most complicated topic, two dimensional arrays in assembly language.

No idea yet of what their next exercise is going to be, but most likely it will be a revision of the sample program.

It is, after all, already the twelfth week of the second term, one week from finals and two from the end of the term.

Ditto with my Integrated Computer Systems class, where we have scrapped the last, long-taking experiment on game show buzzers for reading the input of an external digital circuit through the parallel port using a visual basic program.

Session 1425 prioritized oen subject over another, right in front of the teacher. Class dismissed.
