Considerations of Presented Attitude

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

I don't know if it's been evident, but I've been trying not to come up with two negative posts in a row in the student accessible version.

That's why even though I already have something lined up that I wanted to write for today, due to its ranting nature - not that that kind of consecutivity happens often - I had to forego it for now.

For here it's more or less the same also, except probably when I have one topic that overflows to more than one day, although I already don't feel good about it when it reaches three and I have to take a break - that is, write about something else in the interrim.

@@ I got the schedule for the three day student retreat yesterday, and I was surprised to find two major changes in the schedule.

First of all, the candles for peace and reconciliation have been moved to the afternoon of the second day. I don't know about that.

It just doesn't feel the same to be approaching people that you have wronged while there is still daylight visible, instead of the cover of night.

And, even though I thought it was just a special occurence for last year, apparently there will be "socials" again for the second night, with the dean and other teachers as visitors.

I guess this is part of the reason why they wanted to move the candles to the afternoon, so as not to keep the administrator waiting like the last time, and so that they don't have to go home too late afterwards. I don't know if the facilitators of the retreat house will agree though. It seems to be too much of a noisy activity to expect for a solemn place.

The expected departure time is after lunch on Sunday, the last bonding activity.

From what I can see anyway, it doesn't seem that anything was cut out for the sessions (except maybe the life of the founder), just compressed in time to fit in the given schedule.

Session 1909 believes there's a time for contemplation and a time for interaction. Class dismissed.
