Those Attempting to Get By with Minimum Effort

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Updated tidbits about various unsavory individuals in school today.

First, about Ephraim: talking to one of the registrar's personnel at the end of office hours yesterday revealed that he has not enrolled, despite hanging around the school with his girlfriend and peers as if things are normal with his academics.

And he tried to get the cel phone number of the registrar's head from the personnel, even though the head is on emergency leave and her number is confidential. Seeing as he didn't say anything about his parents wanting to set up a meeting, I bet it's just another extended plea to give him another chance.

@@ The registrar's personnel also told me that a certain student has enrolled during one of the days I was not in school last week (or maybe the last open Saturday of last year), as we both saw him at the time we talked waiting along the circumferential road for one of his parents to pick him up.

Apparently, due to his failure in at least one more subject last term under the same teacher (who the other students all know is really nice) he can only enroll in six units now.

@@ Slacker co-teacher has two sections of the same lab subject two days in a row, the second of which is held on a Wednesday morning.

So I was already suspicious when I saw that the same notes of the board he gave for his class yesterday were requested not to be erased for the day.

Even the students, when I stayed in the lab room earlier (spying on what time he would show up naturally, which was 25 minutes late) knew they could afford to be late since they already know their teacher will be by his own proclaimed detest of 8am classes. Besides that, the lab is to be spent again on one whole project between the two classes, for which they have to research their own specifications again and the teacher will only give verbal guidance.

No lab manual documented, no theory discussed, no experiments.

Session 1969 doesn't wonder why the students are half baked with teachers like these. Class dismissed.
