Personally, Though, I Like David Letterman

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

I'll set aside the academic drama for now just so I can add to the reasons I have against watching any more films in the cinemas.

This I know (or at least I still hope) people I talked to over the weekend will be reading. If not, what's new? I'm used to it.

1. There's always the chance of bumping into people I don't like in the malls.

2. I don't have to worry anymore about calculating what time to leave the house early enough so that I'm not there too late or too early so I don't end up waiting too long for company.

3. I don't have to be frustrated anymore with local distributors dodging higher ratings mutilating the film - badly.

4. DVDs have spoiled me towards subtitles, and instant pause and rewind in case anyone needs to take a rest room break.

5. No more having to worry about rude, inconsiderate people talking too loud, or letting their phones ring, or telling off those not patriotic enough not to stand up during the National Anthem.

6. A pack of microwave popcorn and 1.5 liters of Coke is cheaper than concession fare.

7. The DVD can be plugged in the player at any time, no need to check starting schedule, and can be watched again at a later date, no extra cost.

8. No more being forced to take the extreme left or right side seats because the next showing is too late, or because we all have to sit together.

9. Not paying cinema tax is part of my personal rebellion against the government.

And that's it, bucking convention even more, I don't want to make it ten reasons.

Session 1985 wants to be social, but only in private houses. Class dismissed.
