Personal: Objectivity Aside

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Just a few of my not-so-impartial thoughts on the recently concluded student elections.

As usual, people who the students have not seen working in the current school year (or through word of mouth are known to be all talk and no action) do not win.

The same is apparently true with those who have incomplete requirements, or submitted them late. It's bad enough that they have people in their party who are just falsely reaffirming their own inadequacies by saying it will be alright for them to pass these things beyond the deadline, and then get together to rile against the election commission for being so strict.

And now that there is an incident where the "chancellor" of the winning party (not the slackers, of course) announced the results without permission of the election commission, I'm asking them for a formal complaint to take action, and they're still late.

Do they think we'll take action on it if they pass it next week, after the rawness of the occurence has dwindled and students would rather move on to other, less ugly, things in life?

There was also another rumor on their part about wanting the records of good moral character two of their candidates to be passed even though the discipline officer knows they have offenses.

As if talking to the trophy figurehead of that office will suffice, who naturally is easily swayed by strokes to his own ego.

We still went straight to the horse's mouth for the real score.

Next year, the rules will definitely be enforced to the letter, no exceptions.

Session 2065 are deluding themselves thinking the students would vote such loafing people as they are into office. Class dismissed.
