A/P: So The Dean Hunt Wasn't Put On Hold After All

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Am in school today not because I'm required to, but for the fact that the engineering graduating students requested me to be here to be able to open the lab and allow them to work on their thesis robot.

I was surprised to see that the college secretary was online, so I asked her why she wasn't home in the province like other weekends.

She said the brother president had a meeting with the school directors, to interview prospective deans. Interesting.

Why schedule it on a Saturday? Was it deliberate in the first place?

If it was, it's probably so that the full time faculty who are up in arms against hiring a new dean from "outside" won't gum up the works.

Among these, of course, is slacker co-teacher, who is afraid that the new dean won't be as appreciative as the old dean of his stock knowledge of cars and his ECE license to the point of getting blinded to his laziness and bad attitude.

After their meeting, I talked to the director of the school of Information and Communications, who passed by the computer station where I was.

She identified the interviewee as being a female associate professor majoring in mathematics in the main campus of the district that I might have been in contact with before. I have, but not closely.

The likelihood is that she will be hired, maybe immediately. I doubt if they will wait until the start of next term.

It would be interesting to see the reactions of the faculty on Monday if this happens.

@@ In other news, it seems the sister of a certain student isn't teaching English in the Integrated School here anymore either.

But the details of that story will have to wait until next time.

Session 2223 wants fear struck in the hearts of people too comfortable in their seats. Class dismissed.
