A/P: The Ego of the Elected

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Short E-Frame note: he was absent in Graphics One class today! That gives him two full absences!

I’ll give him four more late arrivals (beyond 8:15am) before I flunk him for excessive absences.

@@ I promised a back story about the female emcee of the Acquaintance Party.

She is one of the Student Council officers, although the male emcee was not. But it was suspicious in the first place that that was the best contribution she could give to the event, when one who had hosted before (in at least two other shows) had instead chosen to work in the background arrangements.

The Strike One that she has with the other officers is when she couldn’t make it to their leadership camp. They figured if she couldn’t commit to serving better, she would probably have other excuses of more important priorities in the future.

Second was that she was also in violation of the dress code, although technically not yet caught by the discipline officer, just other students who’ve seen.

Third is in the class of the leadership camp facilitator herself. I received a two-page complaint from that teacher about the student in her class, that due to her absences, she was not present when the rules of their investigative research were established.

So when their group finally attended and tried to settle on a topic, they were breaking all kinds of rules.

When the teacher tried to tell her to revise the work, she wasn’t respectful, to say the least.

That prompted the teacher to file a formal complaint against her, asking her to give a letter of apology, have a session with the Guidance Counselor, and maybe leave her post in the Student Council since her behavior is not model.

A strike four for me would be her poor performance at the acquaintance party, not even shifting just so they could eat, and leaving immediately after the alma mater hymn.

She was given two weeks to accomplish the first two recommendations, or she could file her own formal reply to the accusations, which I hope she doesn’t, because that would just really show that her being elected had gone to her head.

Session 2249 likes the precedent. Class dismissed.
