P/E/A: Snippets of News of A Scholastic Life

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Impeachment proceedings update: the disciplinary board hearing will come first.

We really would like to see what the student has to say for herself since she apparently does not have the capability of defending herself on paper.

Then, depending on the result of that hearing, then we'll have the impeachment proceedings.

@@ I'm wondering if I should tell E-frame and this other student about their absences and ask them for a commitment letter saying that they understand the consequences if they show up very late for the class again, which is that they would receive a grade of zero.

Will that be sufficient to, as one musical puts it, "light a fire under their asses"?

I will have to come to a decision about this by Tuesday next week.

@@ A prank has been pulled on a certain student, who has the habit of forgetting his ID in the laboratory after borrowing things.

Someone has placed the two IDs (one for this year and the other for the year before) in the reflector of the overhead lights in the lab.

I only noticed it earlier during my Computer Architecture class.

I now wonder how long it has been hanging up there, and how long before he notices, and exactly how far the consequences will go.

Do I really want to find out, or should I ask the students to take it down?

@@ Of course, another problem in the lab right now is that the technician has not been showing up for work for weeks, and I don't know if we're looking for a replacement already or not.

But in the meantime, all the teachers cannot guard the lab against those treating it like a hangout place all the time, unless we keep it locked.

Session 2269 wants to be pro-active with school happenings, but only to a certain point. Class dismissed.
