Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

There was supposed to be a faculty meeting yesterday, but it wasn't properly announced.

So a lot of the teachers who had prior commitments, like me, such as academic advising, didn't show up. There was also the assumption that since there are two faculty rooms, that maybe this session is only meant for the other faculty, which was what both sides thought.

In the last (clandestine) meeting that we had in preparation for the discussion of the faculty manual with the brother president on Tuesday next week, slacker co-teacher took the spotlight again, telling a lot of things about how he's supposed to be all knowing in possible scenarios and counter arguments to the administration not giving any of the benefits, when anyone who really reads between the lines of what he's been saying can see a lot of inconsistencies and lies.

He talked about knowing where the administration came from with their policies, supposedly based on sound business practices, but at the same time he says that what they're doing is wrong in wanting to turn a profit before showering the employees with benefits.

He also gave another - different - excuse as to why he chooses not to speak up, including an outright falsehood about not being called whenever he raises his hand at meetings.

Of course at the same time that he wants to agitate the others enough to speak their minds he also wants to cover his own ass.

He also made up something about having a backup plan of a "better employment" somewhere else, then gave excuses as to why he didn't go there in the first place, including the "promise" of something potentially more profitable to cultivate here.

But in the same breath he rails against some of the others for being too idealistic and not treating the job as the vocation it's supposed to be, instead of having an eye on the money like him.

Session 2453 believes things would really be a whole lot better around here if this just just made good on his threat and left. Class dismissed.
