Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Another election commission obvious question: they asked me if they had to require the political parties to have poll watchers in the computer lab during the elections.

I said that the parties are allowed, but it is not required of them, because if they really don't care enough to place poll watchers, we cannot force them.

I was about to say that I'm looking forward to having another election officer next school year who isn't so hands on with some things yet seems so clueless about others, but then that's assuming a bit too much about the future.

@@ I know there are some folks who treat the retreat like a vacation, but hopefully that's just with this last batch of seniors who weren't given any recollections beforehand, and therefore have no idea what to expect in these occasions.

It's just their loss that they missed such a great opportunity for self reflection, and will continue in self denial of their shortcomings for the rest of their lives, being clueless as to why nothing will go right for them in the days to come.

@@ Getting employees motivated is not so different from getting students motivated.

You have to make them see the future benefits for them of what you want them to do.

You have to make them realize the consequences of the wrong actions that they do.

The only thing different about them seems to be that students are still in this protective cocoon of not feeling how it is not to have any money to buy food if they don't work.

@@ It's also the start of the IT week next week, and only now am I receiving applications for activities and reservations of venues for approval.

It would be great if they would wait, but now I'm even receiving text messages from students asking me what time I'll be in school so I could sign their forms.

When the easiest thing for them to do would be to just give the forms to the secretary and come back for them after a designated period (three days?).
