In Class, Want No Class, Tempted to Leave Class

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

I'm having my class in the engineering faculty room right now, after the students arrived before the start of classes with their preliminary progress report for the star gazing.

This is for the foundation week, when the integrated school science club wants to use the telescope for the evening.

Just fitting it in with their first research presentation, I made them come up with slide presentations of the constellations I already discussed for them in class, to make it easy.

It's just a matter of coming up with pictures from the internet that are similar to the acetates I have.

Since I told them that we are going to be introducing the concepts to grade 5 students upwards, they have to make sure that there are a lot of visuals related to the story, possibly scene by scene.

And to make sure that their presentations are top notch, and not done at the last minute, I asked them to present it to me today for critiquing and possible improvement.

The second presentation at the end of the term will be on an all-new topic though that I haven't discussed yet.

@@ I wonder what happened to the memo or the text brigade that the student council was supposed to put up for the information of the college students as to why their classes aren't suspended.

Also, based on what I talked about in today's student accessible version, are there now those students who want to up the statistics and go to the clinic out of any excuse?

@@ In business news, buying up another branch of the same establishment (at least already a few months operational) would mean a complete change of career and non renewal of current employment contract, just to oversee them. The two branches, after all, are around a half hour apart from each other, and the only two such branches in the province.

It's interesting that the current employees are already counting their chickens before they are hatched, already making plans about schedules of moving from branch to branch, and deciding a vehicle must be bought to make visits easier for each.

It's a very big decision to make, and there is caution that should be taken that this is not like buying computer parts just because for the past few months just using the computer as it is has not been enough.

There is still time, until the end of August to as a personal deadline to make up one's mind.

It may not be the other shop's owner's time limit, which may be sooner, depending on the offers.

Session 2717 is vague. Class dismissed.
