Don't Deserve Recognition

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

I left out of the student accessible version the most remarkable thing about the sports fest yesterday.

It was that fewer of the college faculty members were kill joys than in the previous years, and it was true.

Even the registrar, co-head of the foundation week committee agreed with me. Too bad that it could still be seen as part of the reason why we were the only team to have to lose by default in the dodge ball game, because of not having a complete team.

This is despite the fact that almost all of the faculty members were there during their song number (except for one who for some reason, didn't stand up to join them).

He's also the one that people were talking about behind his back that since he also got the longevity recognition, that he had been growing his hair since we started working here.

And I don't know if it was intentional, but he was not mentioned at all in the response of the trivia contest winner, despite being their coach or maybe because of that fact.

After all, he posted all about their achievements in the college faculty mailing list, even going so far as to stretch their achievements as being having the "highest points among those eliminated".

Talk about living vicariously through one's children. There are, as they say, those who know and those who can teach.

@@ In other news, the college faculty association backed out of being part of the bingo tomorrow.

This isn't the first instance of someone planning to be in the fun day backing out, so I'm used to it.

Also having backed out were the theater group from performing a played geared towards children.

I would not have found it so bad except that I knew they were missing classes for their first and only play shown during the last week of the term last school year, as admitted by their officers.

@@ And speaking of which, one of the directors has requested for official forms that the students have to sign saying that if they are failing in their classes (or at least not attending) then they should not be included in the organization of activities anymore.

Are the forms going to be like a contract, that a student will not miss classes if it is for an event if their performance is low in a class? Will there be a copy given to each of their teachers?

Session 2745 won't be surprised if the students take this in their complaint of being leashed again. Class dismissed.
