Three Feelers of Letting Go

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Well, as usual there were some students who did not show up at the seminar for student leaders yesterday.

At least some of them had the guilt to pay the commitment fee. And two may not be in their positions anymore soon.

One is the academic commissioner of the student council. She actually pleaded with the secretary of student affairs about not going. This is because her ex-boyfriend is there, the vice president of the student government.

This was not a problem for her during the original leadership camp, when her other ex-boyfriend was one of the facilitators.

What is the difference? During the summer camp, she was attached. Now she is a lonely single.

I do not know if the guidance counselor sees this problem in her that she is one of those types who define themselves by the men the attach themselves to - not actually the first I have encountered in this school.

Maybe we will not wait anymore for her to submit her formal letter of resignation, although she has been hinting about it to the student council president since before the foundation week.

The other instance is with the president of the umbrella council of the student organizations. I already had my doubts about her since she is one of the few presidents who have a second term this year.

So of course she had an unfair advantage against the first time presidents in the vote for the position, having already quote-unquote proven (not that I believe that) herself for the last school year.

But since that election, she has done nothing to rise up to her responsibilities, much less her own organization.

And when the secretary asked her for help in gathering the student officers for the camp follow-up, she blew up in the face of the secretary, going so far as to point to someone else to be the president in her stead.

Again, it is very tempting to take her to her word and not wait for a formal letter of resignation.

After all, we do have to rely on who is there when it comes to crunch time for activities and not go through the formality of corresponding with her when she will not be doing the work in the first place.

It would be very arrogant for her to complain about not being informed if she is going to pass it off to someone else anyway.

And I wonder if my post about those who do not want to step down from their presidency in one of the social networks got to her.

@@ In other news, I also found out from the social networks that my cousin broke up with his girlfriend who is also a former student of mine, right before her birthday, which was at the start of the month; no direct statement either, but from the quotes and status changes that they both post.

Session 2787 does not want to take sides in this issue, and hopes no situation will rise where I will be forced to. Class dismissed.
