Posters Say Something About the School

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

One hour and ten minutes until my class starts and I am blanking out again as to what to write here.

As usual, I just finished with the student accessible version for the day, and this is second priority.

This is because sometimes there are some things I write about there that I can expound on here.

This is not one of those times. In fact what I wrote about the eclipse I had planned to write about here yesterday.

Okay, there was the second meeting about the new rules of posting in campus earlier. I was not able to make it to the first meeting because I was calling the office of the marketing in charge from 9am onwards, and I was not receiving a reply, so I assumed the meeting was for 10am.

Apparently, she was not replying because the meeting was not in her office and she did not follow up to find out where I was.

She did this earlier to the other people who were supposed to be in the meeting but were not there, but only because I told her about that contingency last time. I told her that the whole time I was just in front of the computer beside the phone waiting and sometimes forgetting to call being so engrossed with my work.

Anyway, there are plans for additional boards for posting on the fourth floor for the college, and the lower floors for the grade school and high school. There will also be certain boards on the higher floors (not just the ground floor and the basement) that will be designated for institutional announcements.

There are also rules now for posting in campus from outside sources. These have to pass through the marketing office.

The same is true with outside posts, either large billboards or for the campus events that will be advertised outside.

The students will not only need the approval of the office of student affairs to post, but also the marketing office.

This is because all material seen by the general public about the school should be reflective of the values of the school.

If anything in what they post is seen as offensive, it would be bad for the reputation of the school.

There is also going to be a limit to the number of posters that an event organizer is allowed to post, also for environmental purposes.

Major events will be the only ones allowed to be a certain size, (determined by expected number of participants, venue and marketing potential) and the rest, considered as minor events, can only have a letter-sized posters.

There are also preparations for generic or static large billboard type tarpaulins to be placed outside the campus when there are no specific events, just to continually promote the school and give the impression that there are no dull moments where there is nothing to post or seemingly nothing happening.

Session 2915 cannot decide if it is good or bad that there is no juicy behind the scenes news right now. Class dismissed.
