Vaguely Intentional

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Well, for the first time, I will have to write a continuation here of something that was already written in the student accessible version, particularly last March 10, 2010, appropriately post number 1210.

Okay, since I discovered URL shortening tools, I would be able to give the link here without compromising the existence of this blog to that one. It is at {http://tiny.cc/whatadrag} custom URL and all. This is the post, after all, that thoughts dot com deemed enough to label as explicit content.

When I left that story, there was another agreement reached about another visit, even though there was no reason given for wanting one person to go spend almost two hundred pesos two ways to go there.

And as always it does drag out. There are a few hours spent sitting down shooting the breeze somewhat, maybe a home cooked heavy snack or little meal is involved, where, not wanting to waste any more time than before the weary and wary traveler already pours his heart out about current qualms.

At the most, despite looking forward to sage advice, the best response gotten is: No you must stay where you are, the prospects are best there. Was there no listening involved in relaying the choice is out of possessed hands?

And there is an invitation to go out on the way home, maybe visit a store or two. Another shop is passed, and something deemed necessary is bought, two of the same item in fact, to facilitate not needing to return when the first to be used will be worn out, and it will be worn out.

The visitor makes the mistake of telling a tale about the commercial conditioning of shopping when one feels bad actually having a positive effect, maybe it is the power of choice, or having spending power.

Sadly, this is taken by the visited as a sign. They reach the first intended store to enter, and proceeds to pick out two thousand pesos worth of products, and it is assumed the visitor will foot the bill, a loan so to speak.

Not only that, but despite having given warnings before about not being of financial assistance for a few months after the last such request, a similar request for about two thirds the original amount is put forth.

This is already from a person who summarily rounds up figures from twenty seven thousand something to thirty thousand, instead of just twenty eight thousand. Apparently, the financial constraints of other people are unheard of.

Even for the two thousand worth of immediate products to be bought, the sarcasm of saying sure I just have to skip meals for a month go unnoticed, or are brushed off with a brash laugh and a sound slap on the back.

Sharp words are already uttered reminding about the ultimatum already previously given, before parting.

Appallingly enough, there is another invitation during the next weekend, this time through a third person, who has more pull with the visitor than the visited now has, saying that all three of them have something important to talk about.

But, no such vital discussion takes place again, and the feeling of a whole chunk of the weekend wasted is felt.

Session 3019 sees this as an exercise in writing while skirting around certain specifics. Class dismissed.
