Naomi and I went shoe-shopping yesterday. We went to Nordstrom's, which was having a sale, and we stood and we looked at this massive crowd of people who were milling around a bunch of shoes in much the manner of a bunch of sharks around a pile of nice bloody bait, and we said, "We are so out of here."

So we went to a store called Shuz. And we ran a poor salesbeing ragged fetching and carrying for us, but we got shoes! I got shoes! I got a pair of black suede-ish sandals with criss-cross straps. Not quite thin enough straps or enough straps to be "strappy" sandals, but nice sandals, nonetheless. And they are insanely comfortable, because nice they have nice cushiony soles and the straps all adjust so they can be made to fit my weirdly proportioned feet. Yay, shoes!

I also got a cute little purse, perfectly sized for just the necessities. (Necessities being wallet, keys, iPod.)

Today, had a writers' group meeting. Spent the evening lolling about playing on the PlayStation and wishing it were cooler. It's hot here. Really really hot.
