This has been a really weird week...and yesterday was just the capping weirdness.

I heard some bad news about a friend Friday morning. It's stuff that I can't talk about here. It made me very sad, and frustrated, because I didn't really know what was going on or if there was anything I could do to help.

I moped around work and made edits to a quick reference card all morning.

Then I went to a party to celebrate the release of one of the products I've been documenting. Pizza and miniature golf with the development team. It was kind of weird, since I wasn't in a very celebratory mood. I perked up while we played miniature golf, though. It's hard not to laugh when you're standing around watching a grown woman try five times to hit a purple golf ball through a miniature castle portcullis.

Then I came back to work, and everything was a big mess: programmer needs online Help files *now*, nobody can get at files, nobody knows what's going on. IT guys say, "behold! I will fix your problem!" and then go away and go home. Problem proves to be unfixed.

Boss tells me to go home, worry about it Monday. I go home.

I called my friend about the bad news. It made me feel a bit better.

I got some food, and vented at Daniel about the bad news, and I played video games for a while. Then I went to bed.

I really hope that next week will be better.
