Hannakuh has begun.

What? You didn't know that? You knew Christmas was Sunday, yeah? Well, with all the Happy Holidays-and NOT Merry Christmas-signs around, surely Hannakuh was as well advertised too?! No? Hmmm.

How about Festivus? That was on the 8th. No? Hmmm.
How about Ramadan? Its all month long. Kwanzaa? It started yesterday and runs to (and through) January 1st.

But if Christmas wasn't advertised and everyone was all Happy HolidayS surely they meant all the non-Christian celebrations too, right?

Oh, its lipservice! I have a place they can apply that.

If you're Christian and want to appeal to Christian clientele, say Merry Christmas. Wishing Happy Holidays just to people who only celebrate Christmas and the westernized New Year is merely playing PC.

And Goddammit, if I wanted the government in my religion, I know my relatives would have stayed in Italy, the UK and several other countries where Church and State are cozier than the USA Supreme Court bible study group.

And to the Wiccans, atheists, Buddhists and Deists-I don't know your holidays off the top of my head and Google would be cheating.

I rant because I care.
