The mood line should read, "It's complicated."

So here I am again, somewhat connected to the civilized world. Or at least beginning to be. I am too tired to tell the story of our move completely at this point, so here's the summary: 3 days of driving, late movers, piles of dead flies on the floors of the rental house, 6 inch day-glo orange shag carpet, smells like mildew, a visit to the ER (for Kate) with an almost mis-diagnosis of appendicitis (narrowly averted), no houses on the market except one with a largish pond we think we might be able to drain, never mind the pink toilets, and a bright spot today when I met a theater actress and her 3 1/2 year old at the playground and she gave me the scoop on How to Look For Houses in the Land of For Sale By Owner.

It smells like cows in here right now. Clearly this means I need to go watch Food Network.
