So, I have three grades in, of the four classes I took...3 A's! I'm still waiting on the fourth grade, my Anthropology class. The grades were supposed to have been turned in a week and a half ago, but my prof does have some extenuating circumstances, so I'm not too surprised.

Spent Memorial Day weekend up in the Bay Area visiting my grandparents. I wasn't really looking forward to it. Not that I didn't want to see them, it's just that it tends to be a very stressful trip, and I wasn't looking forward to dealing with my dad dealing with his dad. So, I pretty much spent Friday and Saturday wishing I was in L.A.

That was when I got the surprise. I found out Saturday night that my grandfather had decided to sell his car, and at my father's suggestion, not only did he agree to sell it to me, but he offered to let me take it home at the end of our trip. And that's exactly what I did.

I have a car!!!

My dad and I drove it down on Monday, while Ben drove mom back in his car. It's not new, it's a 92 Ford Taurus GL sedan, but it only has 35,000 miles on it, because my grandfather doesn't drive too much anymore, and was splitting time between his car and my grandmother's station wagon anyway. It needs to be cleaned, and it needs some body work, and it needs a CD player of some kind. Dad has generously offered to cover the purchase and installation of a new sound system, or a CD changer, and any new speakers that I might want to put in. All that aside, however...I HAVE A CAR!!!!!!!!

So, in the end, it turned out to be a pretty good weekend. Fairly busy couple of weeks for me, too, as on Monday, I leave for NY, and on Thursday of next week, I'll head to Harrisburg from NY to visit Stacy for a couple of days. Back to NY that Saturday, and then home on Sunday.

Anyway, that's the news! Oh, did I mention that I have a car??? :)
