2002-07-18 10:24 AM Tired.... Previous Entry :: Next Entry So, I spent the previous 3 days driving up to the S.F. area, with my grandparents, and driving back, all accompanied by Ben. On this trip, we encountered just about every bad driver ever put on the Earth, and they all seemed to be aiming their cars at us. It was not pleasant. The visit, on the other hand was quite pleasant, and went very well. To Ben's and my great surprise, the trip we had to make to the DMV was almost painless (there was a 1/2 hr. line)and the clerk who helped us was not only polite and professional, but nice, and and actually had a sense of humor! It was wonderful, particularly since Ben, my grandfather, and I had all come in expecting to have to do battle. In other news, I registered for my fall classes. I'm going to be pretty busy, since I'm taking 4 real classes, a gym class, and TAing for 3 other classes. In fact, I worked it out, and I'll be spending approximately 27 hrs. a week in classrooms or the gym. And that will be closer to 30 hrs. on exam weeks. What I'm going to figure out, is if I can hold a separate job down while I'm doing this, so as to earn significant amounts of money. My guess, however, is no. So, now I have about a month until classes start, but of course, as soon as classes start, I fly back east for Anna's wedding, so my next project is to e-mail all of my professors explaining that I will miss about a week of class, and asking if that's a problem (because if it is, I'll have to try to find other classes whose professors don't have a problem with it).
