So, I got back from visiting my grandparents yesterday. Definitely not one of the best weekends I've ever spent up there, although, as usual, it was a great bonding experience for me, my dad, and my brother. My grandparents were cranky, picky, childish, and all around pissy most of the weekend, and it appears that they're going more in that direction with each visit. Oh well. On the nice side of things, I think my grandfather has finally gotten over my Brandeis flubs and the squandering of the college money he provided, thanks to my string of A's, and my not asking him for any financial help since 1999.

I am very jazzed about the paintball equipment I've been picking up lately. I found out through my brother that some of our friends at school play, and it was a great excuse to do something I haven't been involved with since Brandeis. I remember that I had a lot of fun the few times I played, and I can't wait to get back into it. I've already got a very nice marker, and some passable equipment, although I plan to get a better mask, and an electric loader (my marker is capable of high-speed full-auto fire, but if I try it with a normal loader, all I do is shatter paintballs and jam the bolt), for starters. Ben's got a really nice set-up too, and the marker he got is designed to be customized with all sorts of random crap, so I'm betting he'll get a lot of use out of it.

Finally, the most important part of this post - I'm leaving! For Boston, that is. I have a week and a half of visiting time ahead of me, from Christmas Day to the 3rd of January. I'll be online, and available by cell phone, if anyone needs me, but I won't be available for anything in Southern California. Anyone in Boston who might want to get together is perfectly welcome to drop me a line, and we can try to work out something, although I am committed to a few things during my visit. I can't wait!
