Got my first paycheck today! Not much, but it was for only 3 dyas of work. Of course, I have bills to pay, so it will be gone very quickly, but that's the way it is sometimes.

Work is eh. It's not exactly mentally taxing, since my job mainly consists of moving things, carrying things, and cleaning things, but it is somewhat demanding physically, particularly since I'm so completely out of shape. I figure that this will get better the longer I am there, but it is frustrating. Fortunately, since it's a small store, there isn't as much to do as there would be at other companies, so I can pretty much set my own pace and do as much or as little as I feel like. Unfortuntately, I can't seem to let myself slack off, even when I want to.

In other news, it looks like the store manager is about to leave, since she's negotiating a salary with a vet clinic. The owner is almost certainly going to ask Pita to take on the job of manager. She plans to tell him where he can put that offer, and it happens to be a dark and stinky place. She wants out, and I don't blame her. The company is stupidly managed, and it appears that's b/c the owner just lines his pockets with any profits generated by his stores, instead of reinvesting into the comapny to make even more money. Dumb, dumb man. I just hope Pita is able to find another job soon, b/c once she escapes, I will feel free to start looking for a job I can stand, but have the security of knowing that I don't have to settle for anything that isn't full-time, paying less then $7 an hour.

Anyway, must sleep now. Work tomorrow!
