So, after a great deal of coming to grips with the degeneration of my visual capacities, and a great deal of nudging by Pita, yesterday I finally went to Lenscrafters and had my eyes examined. I am, in fact, nearsighted these days, and I have astigmatism in both eyes. I don't quite know where the astigmatism came from, since my eyes were fine growing up. I am wondering if it might be related to the TMJ in some way. Anyway, the important part is, I am now the owner of a pair of glasses, which I am slowly getting used to.

The doctor actually wrote me a prescription for a pair of glasses to use on the computer as well, but said that I should only have it filled if I really felt I needed to, since there was very little difference with them on or off.

The glasses and exam weren't cheap, but my sweetie covered the cost in-store, and dad actually paid us back last night, which was really incredible, and way more than he needed to do. So, that's the update....
