Sifting thru Saturday

I am finding it harder and harder to deal with Flickr. But that's where I keep my photos now. I know I have way too many there, and it would be ideal if I took a whole day and just weeded out the unnecessary photos. But they have changed their format and I don't like it one little bit. The photos take forever to load in on the screen, and when I want to write a blog entry and include a photo, it takes me forEVER to find the photo... grab the html... and bring it over here to my blog. FOR-EVER! I just tried it today and I gave up.

I also notice that when clicking on other people's blogs who also use Flickr, those blogs take a long time to load in for me. Grrr.

"Pal" in bloom

[Note: The photo above of the crabapple tree, "Pal", I have put at Photobucket and am linking it here from there. I actually had an account there but had never gotten into using it before. We'll see if it works easier than the other.]

I am slowly losing patience and, frankly, interest in being creative online these days. I see that some people are finding new and innovative ways of creating stunning sites and images, but the older I get, the less I seem to care about all this stuff. I almost feel like I've run amok of it.

It may just be the season. I don't do well in heat. It's getting warmer here these days. It was downright hot for two days this past week, in the mid to high 80's, which is way north of my comfort zone. I'd like it to be 60's or less, no higher. But, of course, I am not in charge.

The girl patient is now on the road back to normal - whatever normal is for her. She went to the vet on Friday (yesterday) and had that darn drain removed from her wound area. She really hated that thing and, therefore, so did I. She constantly wanted to yank it out but couldn't and I spent an inordinately lot of time yelling at her, which I don't love to do... "Leave it alone!!!!"

So it's out, and she can lie on that side and not feel that knotted thing on her side.

She also seems to be happier, is eating her regular diet now, and has been running and barking along with Kip at the passers by. Naughty, yes... but back to normal! Which is the most important thing.

You notice I am not commenting much about my beloved Red Sox baseball team. They are crap this year. I fear another year like 2012 may happen... so I am lying low in that regard. We will watch the game, once our British shows are over in the evening, but if they go into losing mode, we shut them off and go up to bed. No sense in prolonging the agony!

So... no photos... not much to say... and I'm off. Paul is brushing Kip right now. He has tons of undercoat that needs to come out now that it's warmer, and it's not a job I love, so I've talked Paul into doing it.

Cheers for Paul for this and all the other stuff he does for me,

Bex

"I can never read all the books I want;
I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want.
I can never train myself in all the skills I want.
And why do I want?
I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life.
And I am horribly limited.
