Tea for One

Hello Friends,

Again, another short entry, with not much to say - still going through a funque... or funk...

(Almost lost what little I'd written here! Ooops!)

So after my moaning on and on about arthritis and all, a friend suggested Turmeric as a possible solution. Something like a mash of paste using Turmeric and other stuff, I can't remember now, but I went ahead and ordered the Tea Tree Oil but not sure that was part of that recipe. Anyway, not to confuse you... I did find this tea at my favorite store:

Numi Turmeric Tea Bags

More about Numi Teas

Wow, I am just discovering Numi Savory Teas!

Turmeric for Dogs - Good stuff in here.

Some good info on Turmeric and its benefits.

I haven't had it every day, but I have had several cups of it, usually after noontime, between 12 and suppertime. I like it, too! I don't mind the taste of Turmeric at all, and I would use it in recipes until I used up all that I'd bought and now I am out of it. I need to buy more.

I also was sprinkling it on the dogs' food now and then to see if it would help their gradually worsening stiff-joints of old-age arthritis.

I've only had maybe 4 or 5 cups of it myself. I just got it last week. I'm having a cup right now. So, I don't know if I can say if it's working or not. I still hurt as much as ever... or maybe not "as much" - just sitting still is not quite so bad as it used to be... and sleeping is not quite as painful all night long as before... maybe just a tiny bit bitter... but I'll take that!

Anything, I'll take any improvement!

So that's it for me. Paul is back to full-time work - when the weather allows. He didn't lobster yesterday due to a sloppy sea... but he did sell in the afternoon as he usually does on Saturdays and Sundays. Not many people showed up, though - it was foggy here.

Well, back to my life... just wanted to share how I like this tea very much and to say it might help in the war against arthritis if anyone wants to try it.

Cheers for herbal tea!

Bex

I think I could turn and live awhile with the animals...
They are so placid and self-contained,
I stand and look at them sometimes half the day long.

They do not sweat and whine about their condition,
They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins,
They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God,
Not one is dissatisfied... not one is demented with the mania of owning things,
Not one kneels to another nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago,
Not one is respectable or industrious over the whole earth.
