The frightening consequences of electroshock therapy

I'm a middle aged government attorney living in a rural section of the northeast U.S. I'm unmarried and come from a very large family. When not preoccupied with family and my job, I read enormous amounts, toy with evolutionary theory, and scratch various parts on my body.

This journal is filled with an enormous number of half-truths and outright lies, including this sentence.

Fun with the brood

My sister the nun (9 of 12) has been visiting my mother for the past week and a half. I spent some time with her, but we have so little in common it is hard to have a conversation that lasts more than five minutes. "So what have you been up to?" etc. etc.

She is not going to my sister 10 of 12's wedding because it is not being done by a priest. That's kind of sad because the two of them were like peas in a pod growing up. Less than a year in age separated them. 9 of 12 ended up very quiet and reserved while 10 of 12 is athletic and outgoing, but both of them are very efficient, organized thinkers with a lot of drive.

8 of 12 also visited my mother for two days before heading to a new job in San Francisco. 8 of 12 has a PhD in biophysics and just finished up an MBA. He got married last year and his wife gave birth to a son in January. 8 of 12 also wrote everyone in the family nasty letters while he was ill last summer and has never apologized for it. After his child was born, I wrote asking for address but he never replied. My mother had an address but it turned out to be wrong. So when he showed up on Saturday afternoon at my mother's house I stayed away thinking a slight snub was appropriate and that I could see him the next morning. Unfortunately, he took off early and I missed him. Probably be a few years now before we get together again.

Oh well. Guess I'll sign off.
