The frightening consequences of electroshock therapy

I'm a middle aged government attorney living in a rural section of the northeast U.S. I'm unmarried and come from a very large family. When not preoccupied with family and my job, I read enormous amounts, toy with evolutionary theory, and scratch various parts on my body.

This journal is filled with an enormous number of half-truths and outright lies, including this sentence.

And now for something...completely frightening

Yet another weekend update. Perfect summer weather, spent Saturday shopping in big college town and visiting with my brother 6 of 12. It was his birthday early last week and I kept forgetting to call, so my guilty conscience caught up with me and I bought him a book. He always remembers my birthday, and I don't want to get out of the habit of staying in touch with family. It seems to get easier as time passes.

Sunday I visited my sister 9 of 12, who is on vacation from the convent. We picked a bunch of black rasberries from a bush behind the house and put them in milk and sugar. Sister 9 of 12 is a member of the "Sisters of Life" order, who dedicate themselves to the fight against abortions. 9 of 12 works at a retreat where women who have abortions go for counseling.

I also went for my standard hike on Sunday afternoon. I am slowly making friends with my fellow hikers, which is nice. Another attorney in my office represented the ex-wife of one of the hikers, and strangely enough that has opened the door to a number of interesting conversations about a lot of different things.

So far so good on the whole adding exercise thing. I've kept with my walking schedule. Five miles at a brisk pace twice a week, and then those weekend hikes. I rechecked my blood pressure on another one of those machines yesterday and it was back within normal range. I wonder if the tooth pain was ratcheting it up a bit, or maybe the machine I used yesterday was off. Either way, it's probably a good idea to get into an exercise routine. The real test will be in bad weather of course.

Now for a picture taken today.
