The frightening consequences of electroshock therapy

I'm a middle aged government attorney living in a rural section of the northeast U.S. I'm unmarried and come from a very large family. When not preoccupied with family and my job, I read enormous amounts, toy with evolutionary theory, and scratch various parts on my body.

This journal is filled with an enormous number of half-truths and outright lies, including this sentence.

Weekend in the Adirondacks

Had tied down reservations for a bed and breakfast in Saranac Lake, NY before I came down with a cold, and before the weather on the east coast turned cold and rainy. Still, I had a pretty good weekend. The trees were at peak, and the slightly foggy, dimly lit look gave everything a half-real appearance. It felt like being in the setting for a fantasy novel. We did get to the top of a tower in Lake Placid and were able to see some very nice views.

Didn't go hiking like had been originally envisioned, instead we went to Lake Placid on Sunday and watched a ski jumping contest. Then we went to the Adirondack museum and spent half a day there on Monday. The ski jumping was amazing. I swear, the skiers fall for at least 150 feet before touching down. There was no snow of course, instead they had a modified, wet astroturf with long (grass) blades pointing down the hill. We saw a couple of crashes and the skiers just slid on their backs down the hill. Not fun, with the heavy impact and the awkwardness of the skis, but not injuring either. I saw some of the skiers up close and was surprised at their physiques. They were very thin and slight. I think of world class athletes and I imagine these muscular superjock types from high school. These guys were sort of feminine looking. I guess they concentrate on developing their leg muscles.

So anyway, it was a pretty good weekend. And on Monday, my sister 2 of 12 gave birth to my 5th nephew:Michael David, born at 1:59 p.m. EST and weighing in at 8lbs, 3oz.
